As a little girl my most precious book was called ‘Mog – the forgetful cat’ – a book that still sits on my bookshelf now (even if a little battered and worn). I was pleased to see that WHSmiths are still selling the latest editions of this book ,and that really is a testimony to Judith Kerr who has written it over 30 years ago!

I love the Mog image, he is so simplistic and bold, his fur and markings are lovely, and the expressions he creates captivated me as a child. I do have to say i wasnt as keen on ‘the tiger who came to tea’ and felt Judith was much better with the Mog image (mind you she did admit in interview that she couldn’t draw tigers!!)
